What is a DFU and why is it important?
A DFU - Drainage Fixture Unit is a measurement rating of the load factor on the drainage waste vent system (DWV). Each appliance that’s connected to a DWV system has a DFU rating. Frajon AAV’s are marked with their DFU rating.
Knowing the DFU Ratings of an AAV is important for sizing the appropriate rated AAV to the drainage waste vent system.
Location Requirements:
A FraJon AAV may be used in Residential, Commercial and Industrial Buildings for secondary Stack and Individual and Branch Type Air Admittance Valves (AAVs) for Sanitary Drainage Systems.
- A minimum of one main vent shall extend to open air for each plumbing drain.
